Covid-19 claim Two more lives in J&K, death toll at 43

Srinagar, June 8, (KNB): With the death of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and a 35-year-old resident of Khaniyar Srinagar due to covid-19, the toll reached to 43 in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

The CRPF trooper posted in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, became the first victim of Coronavirus of a Para military force in Kashmir valley.

As per the reports, the trooper was admitted in Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Srinagar (SKIMS) on June 4 after testing positive for the virus and died on Monday morning.

Besides testing positive for the Coronavirus, he was also suffering from various other ailments.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man from Miskeen Bagh Khaniyar died last night at CD hospital, hours after he was shifted from SMHS hospital after he tested positive for the virus.

As of now, Jammu Kashmir has reported 43 deaths so for due to Coronavirus, among which 2 are non locals including a trooper, 5 are from Jammu and 38 from Kashmir. (KNB)
