Consume cherry and local fruit to save our growers from economic loss: Former EJAC president Ab Qayoom wani

 

Srinagar, June 1(KNB): In as sequel to his earlier appeal Former EJAC President and civil soiiety member Abdul Qayoom Wani has appealed the people of J&K to pay heed to the fevent appeal made by the fruit growers fratenty at as time when the cherry fruit is ready to be marketted but due to COVID 19 and its cosequences the outside markets and mandis are closed and the fruit crop is likey to rot in boxes if not consumed alternatively back home.
In as statement issued here Wani said that time has come when every household should make the fruit eating as habit with meals as as part of salad and also at bedtime and at breakfast.
Wani appealed the fruit dealers to sell the local fruits on managable price so that each family can buy as daily family pack. Wani said that as conscious citizens and as a part of brotherhood we should help our growersby consuming by local fruits to save them from economic loss to some extent. Wani also appealed the media to play its role to highlight the medical benefits of cherry, apple and strawberry.(KNB)
