Rumours have it that the make-up artists from the Brad Pitt – Cate Blanchett starrer ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ will work on an ageing Amitabh Bachchan for his role in Umesh Shukla’s ‘102 Not Out’, which has senior Bachchan playing a centenarian – a 102-year-old man.
Shukla has been in talks with make-up artists and technicians from New York and Los Angeles for his upcoming comedy.
The film also features Paresh Rawal as 76-year-old son to Bachchan. Like Shukla’s directorial debut, OMG: Oh My God!, 102 Not Out is also based on one of his Gujarati plays by the same name which has completed over 300 shows and is still running.
Apparently, Bachchan gave the nod within 15 minutes into the narration. “The film doesn’t have a heroine but I’m looking forward to working with Amitji whom I had in mind even when we were working on the play,” says the filmmaker.
