Srinagar, Aug 05: A youth has been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and has been shifted to central jail Srinagar, a police official told Kashmir based news agency.
He said Saboor Ahmad Malla son of Mohd Iqbal Malla of Pahlipora Shopian was arrested by police on July 26 last month over militancy links. After remaining in police custody for 11 days, the youth was booked under PSA (DMS 10/DMS/PSA/2015) for his alleged role in pelting stones on the forces and militancy related incidents. He was shifted to central Jail Srinagar, the official said.
However, the family refuted the police claims that the youth was involved in stone pelting.
