With 10 Votes, Safina Beigh Victorious in DDC Chairperson Elections of Baramulla

Baramulla 13 February (KNB): Safina Beigh emerges victorious in District Development Council chairpersons election of north kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Safina Beigh, wife of former Deputy Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir Muzaffar Hussain Beigh, has won the chairperson post of DDC Baramulla, by recorded 10 votes in her name.

Setting up an example among the independent candidates, Safina Beigh has been supported by the members of prominent regional parties as well as independents.

Meanwhile, for the post of Vice Chairperson of DDC Baramulla, Sonullah Parrey of People’s Conference has emerged victorious.

Pertinently, this is the first time former PDP’s Women’s Wing President Safina Beigh, has taken part in (any) elections of Jammu and Kashmir and her victory is commendable. To secure her Vice Chairperson post, she defeated her rival candidate Qurat Bashir by a margin of 4 votes. (KNB)
