150 people from HP reached Lakhanpur; sent to their respective districts

KATHUA, APRIL 25: Another group of 150 people who were stranded at Himachal Pradesh were today received at Lakhanpur by the Kathua District Administration amid proper arrangements.
District Development Commissioner, O P Bhagat informed that all the people in today`s group belong to Kashmir. They were medically screened at Lakhanpur by a team of Doctors and Para Medical staff. Besides, they were also asked to fill a self reporting form at Lakhanpur indicating their personal information, travel history and whether they were showing any symptoms of COVID-19, DDC said.
The District Administration has arranged a fleet of SRTC buses to send these people to their respective districts where they will be kept under administrative quarantine. DDC informed that district wise segregation of travelers was also done and different buses for different districts will be sent directly from Lakhanpur.
The DDC along with SSP, Shailendra Mishra also inspected other arrangements put in place at Lakhanpur to restrain this contagion.
They also urged the public to wear face mask and maintain safe physical distancing while going outside. The shopkeepers are advised to ensure social distancing, use of face mask by the person involved in the activities of the shop and they must encourage their workers for frequent hand wash to keep themselves safe against the pandemic.
ADC Kathua, Atul Gupta, ASP, Ramnish Gupta, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other District Officers were also present on this occasion.(KNB)
