Srinagar, May 14(KNB): The number of total positive cases of novel Caronavirus rose to 983 in union territory Jammu and Kashmir, after 12 more people tested positive on Thrusday .
As per the reports, among the twelve new positive cases two are From Shopian one each from Srinagar and Pulwama while four samples returned positive for covid-19 at a private laboratory and four cases were reported from Jammu division.
According to SKIMS Officials, out of 3619 samples tested at viral diagnostic lab of the tertiary care hospital, five came out to be positive while 3614 samples reported negative.
Moreover, out of 748 cases conducted at Microbiology Lab of CD Hospital Srinagar none came out to be positive.
Meanwhile, 8 more patients from Bandipora district have been discharged from JVC SKIMS today after recovering from Covid19, the district has now a total of 17 active positive cases.
As of now, a total of 983 cases are confirmed in the union territory Jammu and Kashmir with 494 cases active, 11 deaths and 466 recoveries so far.(KNB)
