Srinagar 05 June(KNB) Aspirants for the Supervisor post in the Social Welfare Department have raised an appeal to the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) to defer the upcoming examination scheduled for 23rd June 2024.

The notification for the post was released in December 2023, with the syllabus being notified in mid-January. The application portal was reopened in March for additional form submissions until the 19th of that month.

One of the aspirant while talking to News agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that the syllabus is too extensive to be covered in the given time frame.

Another aspirant said, “This is sheer injustice as none of us has been able to cover the syllabus. We approached JKSSB authorities and filed grievances for just a month’s extension until July so that we can cover our syllabus.”

Despite their efforts, the aspirants claim that their repeated requests have fallen on deaf ears, leading to a state of depression and dilemma among them.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that some students have their IGNOU tests scheduled for the same day, while others are preoccupied with UGC-NET preparations, which also falls in the same month.

The aspirants are now calling for the JKSSB to consider their predicament and grant an extension, emphasizing that a month’s delay would significantly aid in their preparation.

Speaking to the news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, Chairman JKSSB Rajesh Sharma stated, “Aspirants should approach us; we will look into this.” (KNB)
