‘Little difference between humanity and bestiality’

Srinagar, Jun 23 : Reacting to the lynching of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), Director General of Police (DGP), Shesh Paul Vaid Friday said that the there is a little difference between humanity and bestiality.




He also said that two among the involved persons in the lynching of a senior cop has been arrested.
“People should understand what is right and what is wrong for them,” DGP said on the sidelines of the wrath laying ceremony of the DySP, Muhammad Ayoub who was lynched to death by the youth outside Jamia Masjid during the Shab-e-Qadr.

“The senior cop was at Jamia Masjid for the safety and security of the people but unfortunately some among them bundled him and lynched him to death,” he said, according to KNS correspondent.

Asked about the case, DGP said that the investigation has been started in this regard. “Two people have been arrested in this while the third one has been identified. The involved persons will face the law,” he said.

Referring to a query, DGP said, “As far my information, the slain police officer had a pistol and he has a right to self defense.” (KNS)
