Ravi Shankar to host ‘Paigam-e-Mohabbat’, Mehbooba welcomes

Srinagar, Nov 10 : In a first-of-its-kind initiative to bridge the mistrust, founder of the Art of Living Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, is hosting an event on November 10 in Bengaluru.

Sources told KNS, the event named Paigam-e-Mohabbat (Message of Love) is aimed to heal the hearts and bring about reconciliation among people who have directly suffered in the long-drawn conflict in Jammu & Kashmir.

“It will bring together family members of slain militants, families of victims of cross-firing from all parts of Kashmir and families of defence and security personnel from across the country who have been martyred in the Valley,” they said.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has welcomed the initiative. She tweeted: “Such programmes are imperative to understand the agonizing pain endured by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The civil society in the rest of the country must do more to dismantle the walls of mutual distrust and suspicion that have isolated J&K.” (KNS)
