‘Injured evacuated to base hospital, under treatment’

Srinagar, Apr 01: The suspected militants on Saturday attacked an Army convoy near a hospital on Parimpora-Panthachowk bypass road in Bemina area of Srinagar.
Sources said that the Army convoy coming from Baramulla was attacked by the suspected militants near SKIMS Hospital Bemina.




They informed KNS that following the attack, the area was cordoned off and combing operations was started to nab the militants.

Sources informed that the militants fled from the spot after attacking the convoy.

Meanwhile, Defense spokesman, Rajesh Kalia told KNS that three soldiers were injured in the attack. “The injured troopers were evacuated to the base hospital and are under treatment,” he added.




Notably, the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen’s operational spokesman, Burhan-ud-din in a tele-statement to KNS has claimed the responsibility of an attack. (KNS)
