Statewide cleanliness drive started by state sports council

800 players participated in the drive




Jammu, Nov 24 : With the Secretary Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council taking up the initiative along with his officials, Coaches and players, the Swachh Bharat (Clean India) campaign got off to an energetically at M.A Stadium and Indoor Stadium Jammu.Promoting the vision of clean India and providing clean stadiums to the players and sportspersons of the Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council took an initiative of cleanliness drive at M.A Stadium and Indoor Stadium Jammu.Accompanied by a large number of Sportspersons, coaches, students Secretary Sports Council started the cleanliness drive that lasted till the stadiums got totally clean.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Sports Council Waheed Ur Rehman Parra said that keeping in view the demands of the Sportspersons, general public especially women and people who pass through the area, the full fledged cleanliness drive was must in order to provide a good sanitation system to the masses.




He further added that the initiative to make a clean and green nation is one of its own kind and each and every person must contribute to attain this mission of Swach Bharat.

He further added that Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council is committed to working on initiatives that will improve the health, education, nutrition, protection and sanitation of children, which are so critical to us all.

Meanwhile Deputy Secretary, Divisional Sports Officer, Manager Indoor Sports Stadium Jammu, coaches, players, students and several others were also present. (KNS)
