Sports Council Conducts Selection Trials In Budgam

Selects 85 boys for three disciplines




Budgam, Jan 02: Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council Monday conducted selection trials for special coaching camp in Athletics, Hockey and Wushu.According to the statement issued to KNS, Boys from different areas of District Budgam participated in the trials.“The concerned coaches and selectors selected 85 boys for all the three disciplines,” officials said.
District Youth services and Sports Officer Budgam Sukhdev Singh was the chief Guest on the occasion who interacted with the boys and asked them to work hard to excel in sports.Vice Chairman District Sports Council Budgam Rifat Abdullah was also present on the occasion.
The ten day long special coaching camp will commence from January 03.

J&K State Sports council is going to provide refreshment money and other facilities to the selected boys during the camp.

After the Special coaching camp, a mega sports festival will be organised in Budgam in which competitions of different events would be held.

Notably, J&K State Sports council has started activities across the State under Khelo India Scheme.
Apart from local coaches, the sports Council has also invited coaches from Jammu region to impart coaching to Kashmiri youth in different districts of Kashmir valley.




Thousands of boys have undergone selection trials so far in different districts. (KNS)
