Political leaders call Advisory council formation speculation

Srinagar, May 26(KNB): As the Jammu and Kashmir Apni party Chief Altaf Bukhari is all set to likely form an advisory council in J&K, several political leaders of the valley termed it as speculations.

Notions are all around that Chief Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Altaf Bukhari who has been camping in New Delhi, likely to arrive in Srinagar on 28th May is all set to form an advisory council in J&K in which around ten to twelve leaders as well as young faces are believed to be inducted after which the consultations of the party will begin to finalize the names of the expected ones.

Erstwhile J&K is under the political deadlock, formation of Advisory council has evoked mixed response from various organizations and political leaders in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

While showing no interest in any political activity Farooq Abdullah, Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference president terming it as speculation has said that his party won’t initiate any political activity till all the political leaders are released.

Meanwhile, Former Chief Minster and National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has also flown to New Delhi on Monday triggering a wave of speculations that NC may also be weighing its options.

While talking to news agency Kashmir News Bureau on phone Spokesperson National Conference Imran Nabi Dar talking about the advisory councel said, “As of now these are all speculations only, we don’t know what is the real story behind it we will be giving a detailed response once it is confirmed.”

Meanwhile,on 05 August last year Jammu and Kashmir declared as union territories – Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh- special status ends with abrogation of Article 370.

Moreover, new domicile law was also implemented this year amid nationwide Lockdown due to Covid-19 by Narendra Modi government with immediate effect, arising from the J&K Reorganisation Act of 2019 that revamped the political character of the region by bifurcating it into two union territories.(KNB)
