This talk of today has overall had good impact as it is seen as withdrawal from a very harsh stance adopted by the right wing BJP Govt during all these years.
Pertinently ,we had recently seen the security grid and ultra nationalists calling for operation all out pledging killing of All militants ,the majority of whom are local Kashmiris and every militant killing is giving rise to deep anger and protesters killing in reaction to this.
The Hurriyat leadership especially Mirwaiz Umer Farooq has given a good welcome to this statement. As was evident from his tweets. “If the statement is build up with concrete actions and carried forward with right plan we can hope for semblance of normalcy coming back to pain and violence hit Kashmir .We need positive gestures to save Kashmir from annihilation, “stated a political Analyst while talking to The Kashmir Scenario.
Undoubtedly, the talk of solving issues through dialogue and reconciliation in Kashmir as contained in Modi’s Speech is a welcome sign .
