‘PDP’s sopore candidate is Bank defaulter’

SRINAGAR, DEC, 08: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate from Sopore Constituency, Nazir Ahmed Naikoo is a defaulter of loan case, sources in Kashmir Merchantile Cooperative Bank, Branch Iqbal market Sopore said.

Reliable sources in the MCB Sopore branch said, Naikoo holding Account No: CC227, Iqbal Market Branch Sopore is yet clear the outstanding of Rupees 11 lakhs out of loan amount disbursed in 1995. They added that from March 2013 he has not paid any installment but ironically the bank has not put or declared him in defaulter list. Sources added that Naikoo has ignored multiple requests of the bank to make a payment or reconsolidate his debt.  Naikoo is the brother-in-law of senior leader Muhammad Dilawar Mir. Despite repeated attempts Nazir Naikoo could not be contacted. When contacted Umang Narulla Chief Electoral Office J&K he didn’t not pick up phone.
