After hundred days of continuous shutdown, more than 90 killed, Thirteen thousand injured, hundreds blinded, one political force that look to be at the recurving end is the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP, whose base looks all but devastated to core. The party PDP, which began its journey on the plank of healing touch and within no time gained popularity has now on its image the baggage of killings and oppression.

A political analyst states – “PDP looks to be the biggest loser in this agitation from all angles. It had been years of hard work to build a Soft image for itself for PDP, but now PDP looks to be out of touch with ground sentiment.People are angry with PDP and feel cheated.”
Undoubtedly, the agitation 2016 post the killing of Militant commander Burhan Wani has largely dented the base of PDP.
