Pandits who sold their properties shouldn’t be allowed to return: Aasiya

Meaningless, if Hurriyat leadership fails to deliver’

Srinagar | June 17 : Chairperson Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi Friday said that there was no meaning and purpose in pursuing the resistance movement if the pro-freedom leadership fails to issue a programme swiftly to counter India’s aggressive approach in setting up of Sainik colonies, composite townships for Hindus and implementation of the Industrial Policy.

She said those Pandits who have sold their properties here must not be allowed to come back. “Those who have sold their properties must not be allowed to come back because they are settled somewhere else and those who have not sold their properties, they can come and settle in their properties. We should take a firm stand about all this. How could people, who have sold their properties and have taken their money, be allowed to come back and settle in our land now,” she added.

“The present situation in JK is alarming. India is establishing Sainik colonies on one hand and on the other is creating separate townships for Pandits. Another conspiracy is that work at every level is going on the implementation of the new industrial policy,” she said.

“The puppet government gives an impression that nothing is happening, however, they are working on implementation of these conspiracies secretly,” she said in a statement issued here.

Andrabi said that these plans weren’t under just consideration but were being practiced and were being implemented with full force.

“Land has been identified for composite townships for Pandits, Sainik colonies have been established at various places on which 456 crore have been spent till date and now this puppet regime on Thursday declared that they will lease out land to outside state industrialists for ninety years and they can work in partnership with local industrialists,” she said.

Further, she urged the civil administration of JK to desist from acting upon the sinister policies that were being implemented here. “I urge the Div Com, DCs and other officers to desist from identifying the land for Sainik colonies, Industries and the Pandit townships. (PTK)
