Srinagar, November 20 : A militant has been killed in an encounter started in Chopan Mohallah, seer area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
“Acting on a specific information a joint team of 42RR, SOG Tral and CRPF Cordoned off the Chopan Mohalla area of Tral following a specific input about the presence of some militants”, a police officer told GNS.
As the joint team of forces intensified the searches, the hiding militants opened fire triggering off an encounter.
So far a militant reportedly identified as Adil Chopin has been, the offIcer said,a adding that the search operation is still going on in the area. (GNS)
