KNB journalist abused by factory owner who defies Govt order of shutting down business

Srinagar,March 28(KNB): Kashmir News Bureau journalist was allegedly abused and threatened by the owner of a factory at Lassipora in Pulwama district on Saturday while performing his professional duty.

The journalist informed that he was allegedly abused and thrashed by the owner of Valley Plastic factory for covering unlawful activities at Lassipora Pulwama wherein some factories are still running against the government order of complete lockdown in view of threa t of the spread of deadly COVID _19.

He alleged, ”I was covering unlawful activities at Lassipora pulwama when a factory owner who is running his business unit under the closed shutter not only this many such factories are running there where almost more than 50 labours both local as well as non locals are working thus violating the government orders as well as putting many lives at risk.”

He further said,” The factory owner not only abused me but also snatched my camera and deleted all my data and threatened me for exposing their illegal operations.”

When Kashmir News Bureau contacted SSP Pulwama Ashish Mishra,he refused to talk on this issue.(KNB)
