J&K sees two more deaths in 24 hrs, total cases mounts to 1668

Srinagar 25 May (KNB): With total positive cases for Covid-19 reaching 1668 in J&K, the Union territory witnessed two deaths in the last 24 hours. While an 65-year-old lady woman succumbed to the virus in srinagar a couple of days before, has tested positive today- the elderly lawyer resident of Trikuta Nagar, Jammu suffering from underlying ailments returned positive for the deadly Coronavirus after his death at the hospital.

According to reports reached to news agency Kashmir News Bureau, among the 47 positive cases for Covid 19, 21 cases are reported from Jammu district while as Anatnag reports 5 cases, 04 from Kathua, 03 each from Srinagar, and Kulgam, 02 each from Udampur, Poonch and reasi. 01 each from Shopian, Kupwara, Ramban and Doda district.

Out of 47 cases ,02 are from Bemina Srinagar, 01 from Sogam Kokernag and 01 each from Hillar Kokernag, Chatranjee Kokernag, Larnoo Anantnag, Bijbehara, Tral and Chattergam Shopian. – confirmed at the viral diagnostic lab at Microbiology Lab of CD Hospital.

Meanwhile, J&K records two more deaths from Kashmir and Jammu due to deadly coronavirus taking the death toll to 23 in J&K.

“We have been able to trace 481 positive cases among the 90 thousand returnees,” said Rohit Kansal.

Meanwhile, 806 cases were recovered till date in Jammu and Kashmir of deadly covid 19 and recorded 23 deaths. (KNB)
