Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalists Association to hold membership drive

Srinagar, Sep 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalists Association today held a meeting of its executive and general council members.

The meeting was chaired by President Ajaz Ahmad War. Besides others the meeting was attended by Bilal Furqani, Bilal Bashir Bhat, Peer Viqar Ul Aslam, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Mir Imran, Muzamil Maqbool and Javaid Khan.

During the meeting it was decided, following the urge expressed by dozens of budding journalists in the nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir to join the association, the JKYJA will begin its membership drive in next week, the membership form for the same will be kept available on its official website. Meanwhile the JKYJA also announced to launch its updated website and logo in the next week.

The meeting also held threadbare discussion on the plight of members of Journalist fraternity emerged due to the pandemic.

The members while identifying the issues pertaining to the members of fraternity pledged to address on priority.

On the occasion a number budding scribes also joined the Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalists Association who were welcomed open heartedly by the forum.
