Govt orders 17 days long summer break to students

‘All schools upto 12 will remain closed from July 01- July 17’

Srinagar, Jun 29 : In the wake of soaring temperature, the state administration Tuesday announced summer vacation for all government as well private schools from July 1st.




According to the circular issued by Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), the schools up to Higher Secondary level will shut for vacations on July 1st and will re-open on July 18.

“All government institutions and Private Schools up to Higher Secondary Level falling in Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu region will observe summer vacations from July 1, 2016 to July, 17, 2016,” the circular reads.

It reads that all the schools have been strictly advised to observe the summer vacations as per the schedule in the interest of students given the rise in day temperature. (KNS)
