FSL Confirm Sumbal rape, while SKIMS medical report found insufficient evidence

Bandipora, May 28(KNB): Forensic Science Laboratory(FSL) has confirmed the rape of a minor girl in Sumbal village of Bandipora district while the medical report prepared by the SKIMS medical college Bemina were made viral today on social media which state that there were no evidences to prove that the child was sexually assaulted with no marks of injury on any part of the body including the private parts.




The medical report reads,”There was no active bleeding from vagina or anus the mere presence of the faint blood stains and a macula papular rash on buttocks is not sufficient evidence to confirm that the child has been sexually assaulted.”

The reports further stated, “There was no evidence of any trauma, injury, bleeding at or around the vaginal orifice or anal opening. Macula popular rash can arise due to multiple of reasons, the rep reads,Also the blood stains were not dry blood but faint stains only and could not be scrapped and sent for examination.”

Soon after the reports went viral on social media Shah Faesal taking to Facebook said, “It is unethical to share the medical report of Sumbal victim. The report has child’s name on it.Let the law takes it’s own course. There is a judicial process going on. Victim must get justice. At the same time no innocent shall be punished, Let’s be patient and wait for the Court verdict.”

Meanwhile, AIP President Er. Rasheed in a statement said “While every human being was shocked and genuinely so after the rumors about the three year old child being sexually victimized spread, the medical report now in the public domain not only contradicts the charges but in light of the medical report all dimensions of the case need to be looked into and truth must prevail. Who doesn’t have sympathy with the child but government must ensure that Justice is done and whatsoever is the truth pertaining the incident should come out.”




He further said,”While the medical board examining the case is expected to discharge its professional duties without taking sides, justice should be done with the victim, the accused and everyone else. Government must not hesitate or succumb to any pressure and justice should be done without wasting time, so that emotions of the masses are respected, dignity of the victim is restored and protected and any miscreant does not get any chance to create panic or divide in the society.”(KNB)
