Footballer Majid Khan sent outside Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 02 (KNB):  A young footballer of Anantnag district Majid irshad Khan, who recently gave up gun was sent outside state for further studies.




According to reports, Army has taken Majid Khan who recently returned home and joined the main stream, outside state for his education.
“He was shifted outside state after taking proper permission of his family,” said a Defense official.
He added, “We didn’t want to share where we have sent him saying we dont want to risk the life of Majid.”
Pertinently, Majid went missing after his close friend Yawar was killed in an encounter with forces in Kulgam district.
After a week of missing promising footballer’s picture surfaced on the social media where he was seen brandishing a rifle.
After his mother Ayesha video had surfaced on Social media’ pleading with him to return home, Majid Khan was facilitated by Army. No charges were pressed against him by the security forces.




However, according to the statement issued by Lashkar said Majid was permitted to go home on the request of his mother. (KNB)
