Encounter, Snowfall: Administration proves Swiftness

Srinagar, Feb 13 (KNB): As the dry spell in valley ended after long time the snowfall lashed many parts including summer capital Srinagar, the Snowfall was accompanied by an encounter at Karanagar after a failed attempt of Fidayeen strike giving a tough time to admin to combat the situation. However, they proved swift in providing all the necessary help to the students and others struck near the areas of encounter site.




The state administration was on toes to combat the aftermath Snowfall situation in Kashmir. The normal life in Srinagar which had gone out of the gear following first snowfall of the season and an encounter between militants and government forces was partially normalized with immediate steps taken by the state level administration.

Several roads which had gone sub-merged following the snowfall have been cleared by using the motor pumps. Reports reaching Kashmir News Bureau that the electricity has also been restored in the affected areas.

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and DC Srinagar were personally monitoring the situation under which they carried extensive tours to different places in Srinagar including hospitals, electricity receiving stations and other important public utility installations.

The snow clearance drive was started in the nook and corner to maintain smoothing of trafficking on roads besides several helpline numbers have been setup by the administration to ensure its access to the general public.

People were asked to dial DC office helpline number 7051112345 for any query or any type of assistance.

“The manner of taking into consideration the precautions that need to be taken by commoners living near the encounter site and rendering them helping hand by the District administration coupled with the overall efficiency shown in clearing the snow from parts of Summer Capital Srinagar aptly signal the efficiency of our administration . We hope it continues with full zeal and zest in future too,” stated Ghulam Muhammad, a commoner.

Meanwhile, in its endeavour to help the needy people, District Police Budgam arranged lunch for the patients, attendants and stranded people at District Hospital Budgam. The people of the area hailed and appreciated the gesture of police.




Police party of Police station Larnoo on receiving a distress call proceeded towards village Tangwani & after extraneous efforts managed to transport the pregnant lady(name withheld ) to PHC Larnoo in a police vehicle, who was in dire need of medical treatment & thereby saved a precious life .
General public have hailed and appreciated the timely action of police which have rescued the precious lives.
