Dialogue without peace unfeasible: Mehbooba




‘Loss of lives can’t be compensated’

Srinagar, Dec 25 : Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday said that the dialogue process cannot be initiated without peaceful atmosphere.

Talking to media persons on the sidelines of the function in Anantnag, Mehbooba said that “We believe until there is peaceful atmosphere, dialogue process can’t be initiated. The dialogue can be initiated when the atmosphere would be conducive.”

She said that since the situation is limping towards normalcy, they have once again started the development process that got stopped due to the current unrest in the Valley.

The Chief Minister said that during the last five months of unrest, the South Kashmir remained worst hit. “The work on standstill projects can be resumed but the loss of human lives is irreparable loss,” she said.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister distributed the scooties among the girl students at Anantnag and announced that those boys who will pass with a good percentage and would be residing two Kilometers far from their colleges will be given All Terrain Bike (ATB).




She said that her government has taken several initiatives for the welfare of girls. “We have launched Ladies special buses, scooty scheme for girl students and will continue to take such initiatives in future as well,” she said. (KNS)
