Chairman BOPEE seeks holiday for fresh exams

The chemistry paper of Common Entrance Test 2013, the exam of which was held on Saturday, June 22, stands cancelled. The decision was taken by BOPEE after biology paper were found in chemistry in three examination centers of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kothi Bagh, Government Women’s College and S P Higher Secondary School (both at M A Road). Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) chairperson termed the incidents as “purely a human error”. “We request to higher authorities for announcing a holiday in order to conduct fresh Exam of chemistry and Biology paper, so that regular classes and schedule will not get effected. Fresh dates shall be announced separately for the conduct of entrance test for the said papers. Candidates are required to preserve their admit cards,” BOPEE chairperson, RD Sharma told The Kashmir Scenario. On contacting higher education Minister, Akbar Lone related to this grave issue, the Minister said, “We are looking into the matter and soon we will respond back.” Meanwhile the protesting students have demanded a thorough probe into the incident and they also demanded strict action against those who are involved in this human error.
