Srinagar, Mar 1: Minister for Tourism GA Mir released CD of Bollywood singer, Arun Bakshi, ‘Ishq-i-Faqiri’ at Radio Kashmir Srinagar at a function organized jointly by Radio Kashmir and JK-Guild, an official handout said.
“The Minister while appreciating the efforts of Arun Bakshi said that the CD on ‘Ishq-i-Faqiri’ is a great contribution of the producer and his successful attempt deserves a pat on his shoulders,” it added.

“The Minister said that Bollywood and Kashmiris have a centuries old relation in view of the production of a number of feature films in Kashmir, a paradise on earth. He said that this activity promotes tourism sector and improves economy of the state,” the official handout said.

Mir expressed “satisfaction over the rush of Bollywood stars to valley to shoot their new feature films in the state.”Lauding the role of “locals in providing all support to filmmakers”, the Minister said that the “Kashmiris are famous for their hospitality and their behavior towards the guests visiting the state.”

The Minister was accompanied by Director Tourism, DDG, Radio Kashmir, DIG Armed Police besides other senior officers.
