Army Goodwill School Students Leave For Educational Tour

Sopore 24 September 2016. In an initiative undertaken by Army in association with Aseem Foundation, Pune (Maharashtra), an educational/ motivational tour is being organized with Millennium National School and Aseem Foundation, Pune. A total of 20 students and 02 teachers of Army Goodwill School, Sopore and Bandipora left for Pune on 24 September 2016. The aim of the programme is to broaden the horizon of students and teachers of Kashmir by facilitating positive interaction with the educational fraternity outside Kashmir and to enhance the feeling of national integration.




The tour of students and teachers will continue till 10 October 2016. During the programme the students will stay with students of Millennium National School and will attend all functions together. Students will also visit places of historical and educational importance in Pune.

The tour was flagged off by Brig Vikram Nagpal, Cdr, HQ 5 Sect RR at Sopore in the presence of the students, parents, officials from Army and district administration. The primary aim of the tour pgme is to provide an opportunity to the students to pursue their academic curriculum which has been disturbed due to the ongoing unrest in the valley.

The students are expected to make full use of this wonderful learning opportunity. It is expected that these students of Army Goodwill Schools Sopore and Bandipora will establish lasting bonds of friendship with students of Millennium National School and will return back successfully after having gained wealth of experience and knowledge during their stay in a premier school at Pune.
