ARMY GOODWILL SCHOOL GIRL BAGS GOLD IN WORLD KICKBOXING CHAMPIONSHIP




Tajamul Islam, 7-Year old  talented little brave heart of north Kashmir’s  Bandipora district, studying in class three of Army Goodwill School, Bandipora under Watlab Sector, created history when she bagged “Gold Medal” in final match of World Sub Junior Kickboxing Championship held at Andria, Italy on 06-10 November 2016. The child prodigy won five bouts continuously to meet her American opponent in the final bout.

After beating her American opponent who was a couple of years older to her she grabbed the much awaited gold medal for the country, thereby proving her mettle in the world championship. She had earlier won a gold medal in National Kickboxing Championship held in Delhi last year. Her complete training and preparation for the event was looked after by local RR Bn.

The championship was organised by the World Kickboxing Federation. The child played the championship in the age group of 6 to 8 years and weight category under 30 kg. The team of Kickboxing Federation of India is likely to return on 14 November 2016 at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.
