Army distributes learning material to Srinagar orphanage

What could be a better way to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan than to spend some joyous moments with children and make a contribution to their learning process. This is exactly what the Army did today spending some memorable time with the children of AL Noor Yateem Trust, Bemina and distributing School bags, uniforms and books besides other stationery items.




The Zonal President of Army Wives Welfare Association, Mrs Aradhana Dua, while interacting with the children expressed her happiness at meeting them and impressed upon them the importance of education. She encouraged the kids to concentrate on their studies as also extra curricular activities for a well rounded personality development and to strive for excellence in their chosen fields.

A 32 inch LED TV and Tata Sky were also presented to the Trust for education and
entertainment of the children .
Over 60 children along with the Maulvi, Trust officials and the elderly from the area were present on the occasion during which the children put up an impressive entertainment programme and expressed their love and appreciation for the Army’s concern towards them.




Echoing their sentiments, Mr Shabir, Chairman of AI Noor Yateem Trust also said, “such humanitarian acts are always welcome and are bound to further cement the bonds between the Awwam and Security forces.
