Srinagar:  Time when Department of Education Kashmir is in news for the Innovative methods to bring revolution in the field of education within the Region, almost 10 students of Kothibagh HSE Part-I session 2014 regular were awarded extraordinary  72 marks out of 70 in the theory paper of  statistics subject by JKBOSE.

“The students were awarded ambiguous  marks in all the subjects as the award rolls of students were washed in September 2014 floods. So, the authorities gave marks to students as per their will without consulting the respective subject teachers but they committed a mistake in this as well by awarding 72 out of 70 in Statistics Subject.” Said one of the teacher on the basis of anonymity

” The marks card is duly signed by the then Principal of the Institute and Secretary of BOSE.So, the responsibility of issuing such a fictitious and ambiguous marks card goes on to BOSE as well.Had the BOSE authorities looked on the results and checked it before sending it to print, the situation would had been different and the blame would had shifted on to the school authorities only but their negligence makes them equally responsible for the case.” added the teacher

While the students who were awarded 72 marks out of 70 marks are still moving pillar to post, the authorities are sleeping in deep slumber

The students went to the Principal  Kothi bagh Hr. Secondary  and she assured full support to them but even she was not able to do anything and thus no breakthrough till date on this.
