Altaf Bukhari reviews education scenario of Kupwara, Bandipora districts

SRINAGAR, OCT 5 : Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, today chaired a meeting to review the education scenario of district Kupwara.




The Meeting was attended by MLA Kupwara, Bashir Ahmad Dar, Principal Secretary Higher Education, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, Secretary School Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Director School Education (Kashmir), Dr G.N Itoo, Director RMSA,

Tufail Mattoo, Director SSA, Abdul Rashid War, MD JKPCC, Dalip Thusoo, Director Colleges J&K, G.M Tibet Bakal, CEO Kupwara, Mohammad Shafi War, Principal GDC Kupwara, JD planning, ZEOs and other concerned officials.

During the meeting, Bukhari sought the details of the various ongoing construction works being executed to upgrade infrastructure in various schools. He directed MD JKPCC to handover the blocks which have been completed so that students do not have to face inconvenience.

MLA Kupwara informed the meeting about the various issues in the Kupwara constituency with regards to the educational infrastructure and asked for inclusion of more subjects in GDC Kupwara. Bukhari asked him to send a formal proposal for all the needs and promised him that the inclusion of more subjects at an earliest.

Later, in a separate meeting convened to review edu and smart classroom for GDC Bandipora and also announced that BBA course will be taught in the college.

On the occasion, the Minister sought feedback on the functioning of centrally-sponsored schemes SSA and RMSA, strength of schools infrastructure and directed the concerned officials to work with dedication for the betterment of education system. (PTK)
