Army chief’s statement tantamount to ‘confession of defeat’: LeT

‘Statement is worst example of terrorism’




Srinagar, Feb 16 : Terming the ‘threatening’ statement made by Army Chief, Bipin Rawat against the stone pelters as ‘confession of defeat’, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) on Thursday said that this is the ‘worst example of terrorism’ by any army head.In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, LeT spokesman, Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi while quoting the outfit chief, Mehmood Shah as saying, “India has illegally occupied Kashmir and Kashmiris are struggling from last seven decades for their freedom during which the state terrorism of India has killed lakhs of Kashmiris.”He said, “We salute the people of Kashmir for their courage.”

“The enemies used every tactic to suppress the voices of Kashmiris but freedom lovers with their caliber and passion made it clear to India that they don’t accept to live like slaves,” Shah said.
He said, “The martyrs have sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle with an aim to achieve the goal of freedom. India is breaking with the unity of militants and people, and this atmosphere must sustain.”

They militant outfit further said that they support the protest calendar issued by joint resistance leadership. (KNS)
